1pm: Da Capo Presents: ‘Recycling Richard’ – Patricia Baillie (WS member and proprietor of Da Capo Books, Glebe) spoke giving a lighthearted anecdotal look at dealing in music books, with special reference to Wagner.

Followed by soprano Camille Mercep and pianist Glenn Amer, presenting:
- an early Wagner song, Les Adieux de Marie Stuart
- two Wesendonck Lieder

- Inaugural Australasian Wagner Seminar and lunch prior to the performance when we welcomed over twenty members of the New Zealand Wagner Association as well as members from other Australian Societies

- Professor Heath Lees, University of Auckland, President of WSNZ - suggested three ways Siegfried can be approached: as a fairy-tale, as an epic struggle, or as a tragi-comedy
- Robert Gibson, University of Sydney - outlined Wagner’s orchestral requirements for Siegfried
