We are privileged to offer members an afternoon with Samuel Sakker.

Samuel is an Australian born tenor who was a company principal at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.

He has sung many roles in different international opera houses and

recently recorded in Liszt’s unfinished Opera Sardanapalo.

He was awarded the prestigious 2017 Wagner Prize in London by Dame Janet Baker and Dame Gwyneth Jones

He will be in Australia to sing a principal role in Hamlet at the Adelaide Festival.

 He will talk to us about his Wagner roles in Rienzi, Der fliegende Holländer, and Tannhäuser and his win in the 2017 Wagner Society Singing Competition.

He will intersperse his talk with singing some Wagner, Mahler and something Russian.
